About me

You can call me Mook!

My artistic journey began in the pages of manga and comic books, where I first fell in love with the powerful storytelling of black and white. That childhood passion has evolved into a lifelong pursuit, shaping my identity as a Mauritian artist, motion designer, and illustrator.

I specialise in a personal ink technique, whether on paper, canvas, or digital.

For me, drawing is about giving meaning to shapes; each line is intentional, building a visual language that speaks of serenity and connection. My work is deeply inspired by the incredible fauna and flora of Mauritius, especially its marine life, weaving the textures of my island home into every piece.

My vision is to share the profound beauty and meaning I find in monochrome art, inviting others to see the elegant stories that can be told through the timeless contrast of black and white.

With a solid academic foundation a Bachelor's in Advertising and Visual Communications and a Master's in Graphic Design (Digital Arts), where I graduated as class topper I have built a versatile career over the past decade.

I bring 10+ years of experience as a dedicated artist and 7+ years as a professional Graphic and Motion Designer. This dual expertise allows me to offer a unique blend of services, including freelance illustration, graphic design, and motion graphics, all informed by a deep, traditional understanding of form and line.
